| B. Josea Kramer, Ph.D
Dr. Kramer is the Associate Director for Education/Evaluation of the VA GRECC divisions at Sepulveda and West Los Angeles, VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System and she is a Professor in the Division of Geriatrics, David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. An anthropologist, she is a recognized expert on American Indian aging and health-related beliefs and behaviors; she conducts large scale studies on healthcare utilization of the Indian Health Service and Veterans Health Affairs. Dr. Kramer has also taken an active role in establishing the blueprint for falls prevention in California. She chaired the development of the statewide conference on fall prevention in 2003 and edited the proceedings. Dr. Kramer contributes her expertise in education and in qualitative research methods to the Fall Prevention Center of Excellence.
