Greg Misiaszek, Ph.D.

Greg Misiaszek is currently the Program Manager of the Fall Prevention Center of Excellence (FPCE USC) and evaluator for some of the Center's projects. He received his Ph.D. in Education from the University of California, Los Angeles's School of Education and Information Studies within the Social Sciences and Comparative Education division and a Masters Degree from USC's Rossier School of Education. Over the past 17 years, Dr. Misiaszek has worked on various funded programs at USC's Andrus Gerontology Center including ones focusing on fall prevention, home modifications, distance learning, technology and the aging population, neurobiology, and continuing gerontological education for health professionals. He has designed and developed many of the distance learning programs available at USC's Ethel Percy Andrus Gerontology Center including courses for continuing education credit, certification, degree units, and public awareness. He has served as a member of various USC distance learning committees and has presented on many of the Center's distance learning programs internationally. He has presented, published and/or taught internationally on ecopedagogy, Freirean Pedagogy, globalizations and education, adult education, higher education, informal and non-formal education models, Latin American education, qualitative research methods within social justice models, educational technologies, and distance learning.
