Bernard A. Steinman, M.S.

Bernard A. Steinman, MS serves as a research assistant at the Fall Prevention Center of Excellence. He is a Ph.D. candidate at the Leonard Davis School of gerontology. Bernard is particularly interested in disability and aging. His dissertation topic is concerned with how late-life sensory impairments, particularly visual impairments influence the likelihood of falling. Prior to coming to USC, Bernard worked as a researcher in the field of vision rehabilitation. He has done extensive work evaluating state/federal older blind independent living programs. Bernard has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Washington, in Seattle, and a Masters in Psychology from Mississippi State University.
